A key part of our role as BANES Parent Carer Forum is to signpost parent carers to sources of advice and support. We can offer informal advice based on our lived expertise, we can listen and understand, but we cannot offer legal advice.

For a comprehensive resource that provides information about all the support and services available for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) aged 0 to 25, you need to refer to the SEND Local Offer for BANES.
The SEND Local Offer was established under the Children and Families Act 2014 to ensure that families and individuals with SEND have access to clear and detailed information about the services available in their local area. It aims to improve the lives of children with SEND and their families by providing a centralised directory of support services, including education, health, and social care.
