Supporting Families
Driving Change

BANES Parent Carer Forum is here for families like yours. From those who might be only just thinking about SEND, to those who already have a diagnosis – everyone is welcome.

Run by parents, for parents, we’re a not-for-profit group who are all passionate about supporting others and working to make things better. We understand the challenges, and the joys that come with meeting individual needs.

Joining is completely free and being a member means you can come to events, get information and be part of a supportive community that really gets it.

What we do

Need some contact or time with other parents who truly get it? We run regular meet-ups, workshops, and events (all free to members). There is also our Support Line if you have questions, need some information or just a chat with someone who gets it.

We also work behind the scenes to share families’ voices with the people who plan and run our services in BANES. This helps make sure your experiences, ideas and feelings are heard by those who make the decisions, so that together we can try to make things better for our children, young people, and families.

Our vision

Equality, collaboration and support

For all parent carers have the information, help and support they need to ensure the best possible outcomes for their families. The needs of all children and young people with SEND are met appropriately and in a timely manner.
